The beading tools are used to set or tighten stones in a beaded setting. Also to produce a texture in a metal's surface in stone settings, chased designs, or engraving backgrounds. When the bits get dull or chipped they can be dressed and re-shaped on a hardened steel beading block sold for that purpose.
This used vintage beading set has thirteen bits and a hardwood handle. It is a twelve bit set with an extra bit. Wooden storage base can be used in or out of the box. Made in France. The working tips of the bits are in very fine condition. When I compared them with the set in my bench I realized that I have to dress mine.
